How Do You Remove A Badger Disposal?
A Badger disposal is a reliable kitchen appliance to have. The disposal will give you years of uninterrupted service. However, there may come a time when you may need to remove or replace the disposal, such as if the unit has gone bad or you are doing a kitchen remodeling project. Disconnect the power supply to the Badger disposal. Unplug the unit from the wall outlet under the sink if your system simply plugs in. A hard-wired unit will require that the circuit breaker be turned off at the home electrical panel. Remove the two screws that secure the electrical plate on the disposal using a screwdriver. A hard-wired Badger disposal will require that you disconnect the wires inside the unit. Remove the plastic wire caps that connect the wires by twisting them in a counterclockwise direction.
