How Do You Remember Those Who Died In The Oklahoma City Bombing April 19, 1995?
Sunday, April 19, marks the 14th anniversary of the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in downtown Oklahoma City. This incident, committed by domestic terrorists, killed 168 people and injured 800 more. If you’d like to do something to remember the victims, survivors, and others whose lives were changed forever, here are some ideas. VISIT THE SITE. The Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum, in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City, is one of the most moving tributes I have ever seen. There are many symbolic elements to the Memorial, including a field of 168 empty chairs–one for each of the victims– and The Gates of Time, marking the formal entrances to the Memorial and the moments before and after the explosion.
