How Do You Release Car Windshield Wiper Blades?
Releasing the safety clip on your auto’s wiper blade units is a relatively easy thing to do. However, the process of doing so is governed by how the blades are mounted to your vehicle’s wiper arms. The most common mounting style uses a hook arm. The size of the hook may vary by brand, by the hook fits around a plastic connector at the center of the wiper blade assembly. Other types of blades include pinch tabs and side pins. The process of removing these is fundamentally similar. Approach the driver-side wiper blade and lift it off the windscreen. Look at the center of the blade. No matter the mounting style, all wiper arms connect at the center. You will find a lever, a button or a tab to press or pull to disengage the wiper’s safety clip. The notable exception would be side-pin connections (See the Tips section below). Disengage the wiper’s safety clip. This requires moving the lever or pressing the button or tab. Pinch-tab wipers require squeezing one side with your thumb and the ot
