Internet Explorer is Microsoft’s built-in web browser for Windows. Internet Explorer is currently the most widely-used browser, despite its clearly documented issues. One of the those issues is the program itself becoming corrupted, usually due to registry issues. Luckily, these issues can be fixed by downloading and reinstalling Internet Explorer on your computer. This process works on every Windows operating system version, and it does not matter which service pack you are on. Navigate to the Microsoft Download Center (see Resources). Search for the version of Internet Explorer you wish to reinstall and download it. Double click the .exe you downloaded, and follow the on-screen prompts for installing Internet Explorer.
