How Do You Register For An LPN NCLEX Exam?
The National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) is a standardized multiple-choice test that state boards of nursing use to establish whether a nursing candidate is eligible for licensing and ready to practice. These tests are provided for both licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and registered nurses (RNs). As of 2009, the registration fee is $200. You may register online, by mail or over the phone. Once you pass the NCLEX-LPN, you can work as an LPN in the state where you registered. Apply for a nursing license from your state board of nursing by filling out and submitting a form. Contact your state board to find out requirements for licensing and how to obtain the form. (See Resources below for a link to a list of all state boards.) To register online to take the NCLEX, go to the Pearson VUE website (pearsonvue.com); Pearson VUE administers the test. Answer each question on the application, using the candidate bulletin as a guide. Pay the $200 registration fee by credit card online,
