How Do You Register A Team With The Amateur Softball Association?
Founded in 1933, the Amateur Softball Association of America (ASA) was named the national governing body of softball by the United States Olympics Committee in 1978. There are 84 local ASA associations that register teams and organize leagues located in various places around the U.S. One of these local groups is where you’ll need to go to register your team with the ASA. Visit the Amateur Softball Association website (see Resources). Although it clearly states on their site that all ASA registrations on done on the local level and not through the national organization, the site does provide a way to search for local associations in your area. You’ll also find information about obtaining a copy of the Official Rules for Softball and national tournament details. Go to the local contacts page on the ASA website. Here you will find a search engine which will guide you to the local association including contact information of who you need to contact in your area. Search for a local office b
