The clock case parts can be put in the dishwasher. Or they can be rubbed down with TSP and water. About 1/2 cup TSP to gallon of warm water. Rinse off, towel off and dry thoroughly. There are surprisingly few parts to the clock. This image, plus the previous image shows all of the parts. Spray paint the major parts in the disassembled condition. Let dry thoroughly and reassemble the clock. Wa La, the clock is like new again.
