How Do You Refrain From Asking Someone If She Is PREGNANT?
Ah, the joys of pregnancy. People say you get that “glow”. Then there’s the ever-present “bump” that appears somewhere shortly after 20 weeks…HOWEVER, nothing is more humiliating than to be asked when you are due–when you are already done!!! (or when you haven’t even been thinking about being pregnant) Translation, if you see someone within what society would deem normal child-bearing years, DO NOT, and I REPEAT, DO NOT utter the words or any reasonable facsimile thereof as to when the blessed event is to take place. The next time you see the person you want to ask, remind yourself that asking will forever ruin your relationship with this person. For every time she sees you, and vice versa, the conversation will replay itself over and again inside your head. Do not ask anyone she knows or you know who knows her whether she is pregnant because if she is not, it can get back to her that you started this rumor to begin with, and she will never look at you the same way again.
