How Do You Reformat A Toshiba Laptop?
It is a good idea to reformat your Toshiba laptop periodically. There are a range of reasons for reformatting a Toshiba. Whether it be due to a virus or just a general cleaning, reformatting allows you to start fresh as opposed to trying to clean house piece by piece. And provided you back your data up regularly (which is also a good idea), reformatting your Toshiba laptop isn’t too difficult to accomplish using Windows XP. Disconnect your computer from all networks, and back up any data you want to keep. Insert your Windows XP disk while the computer is turned on. Reboot your computer. When the reboot begins, and prior to the initial Windows screen, push the “F12” key to open your Toshiba laptop’s boot menu. Choose the selection to boot from the disc drive that contains your Windows boot disc. Your computer will now boot from your Windows installation disc. Select “Install Windows XP” when it finishes booting. A list of pull-down menus will be next; select “New Windows Installation.”
