In order to remove those surface scratches, sandscreen discs will be used. This system I am about to tell you about is most desired when the floor surface that is being prepared has only been slightly worn or re-coating is required. Vacumm or sweep the floor surface Remove any wax or dust mop treatment that has been put down. You should follow the directions that are on the bottle regarding removing the treatment. Select the proper grit sandscreen you will need for your application. If it is a deep scratch, then you will need to use a 60,80 or 100 grit in order to level those scratches. Then you will need to finish with a 120 or even a 150 grit. For a floor that has minimal scratches, you can use 120 or 150 grit. If you use a grit that is too large, then you could end up leaving “spider webs” after the coating.
