How Do You Refinish & Sand Wood Floors?
Few things restore the luster to a room than a fresh coat of paint and a newly refinishing floor. Working with powerful sanders often intimidates people out of attempting a floor refinishing job themselves, but these machines are actually easy to master and you should think of the stories surrounding them as handyman myths. Even so, refinishing your floor is hard work and will take an absolute minimum of two days. Drive any nails that have come loose from the floor back in with a hammer. Remove and replace them if this is not possible. You want to remove any obstructions of this kind. Remove all the furniture from the room. Carefully pry out the floor trimming using a standard screwdriver or the claw-end of your hammer if you think that is necessary. Open all windows and the exterior door, if there is one.
