How Do You Refinish A Fiberglass Tub & Shower?
Over time, your tub or shower stall can become very dirty. Cleaning can only do so much to an aged and stained fiberglass tub or shower stall. Refinishing a fiberglass tub or shower stall is well worth it, as you can bring back the original look and quality of the fiberglass. Refinishing your fiberglass tub or shower stall takes quite a few products and steps, but will make it look brand-new. Remove the old caulk around the seams of the fiberglass with the flat-head screwdriver. Scrub the entire fiberglass surface with the steel wool. Soak a rag with the TSP cleaning solution. Scrub the entire fiberglass surface with the rag and reapply TSP to the rag as needed. Allow it to dry for an hour after cleaning. Tape around the perimeter of the fiberglass with painter’s tape. Paint a thin coat of epoxy spray paint over the entire fiberglass surface. Spray thin, back-and-forth stokes six to eight inches away from the fiberglass. Wait two hours and apply another thin coat of epoxy spray paint.
