How Do You Refill Brother Inkjet Cartridges?
Inkjet cartridges for Brother printers contain one shade of ink each, whether it is black, yellow, magenta or cyan. You can tell the color by the colored lid on the cartridges. Because of this, you only need to worry about one ink when filling one cartridge. Most refill kits will also have most of what is needed for these cartridges. The following process will work for most Brother ink cartridges, but keep in mind that a few cartridges, along with their refill processes, can vary. Pry off the cover holding down the cartridge’s colored lid using a flat screwdriver and remove the cover from the cartridge. Peel off and remove the circular silver seal covering the cartridge’s fill hole. You could do this with your fingernail, but a penknife can work better. Drill into the fill hole with the thumb drill that should be included with your refill kit to make the fill hole large enough for your syringe needle.
