A lush, green lawn certainly is beautiful, but some home owners use a tremendous amount of water to achieve the look they want. While watering is necessary for a healthy lawn, you can reduce the amount of water you use and still maintain the health of your turf. By doing so, you’ll conserve a valuable resource and reduce your water bill. Make sure your sprinklers are directed properly and not spending part of their spray on streets, sidewalks or driveways. Water in the mornings or evenings when it is cooler so that the water doesn’t evaporate as quickly. Water as needed rather than having a sprinkler system that’s on a timer.
