Bullying within the school system may be seen as a precursor to more threats and violence if one were to view the shooting incident of Columbine High School on April 20, 1999, which caused the deaths of 13 individuals and many more injuries. To avoid incidents such as this, parents, teachers and students must seek to prevent bullying incidents where they begin. Acknowledge the problem immediately. Although children are sometimes precocious, ignoring the situation and taking the “kids will be kids” stance will bring harm to the school climate and morale.The children being bullied may become prone to receiving more severe threats that could lead to personal injury. Start a school safety program with the help of a trained psychologist who is willing to work on a flat fee schedule and understands school budgetary concerns. The program should be aimed at helping parents to get involved in helping their children at school and at home as well as seeking to understand the cause of the bulling
