How Do You Recycle Laser & Ink-Jet Printer Cartridges?
“Hello, my name is Eric White. We’re going to talk about how to recycle laser and ink-jet printer cartridges. It’s a pretty simple concept in that you recycle them much in the same way you would recycle bottles or or plastic ware. You’d want to follow the recycling procedures for the city that you live in. The thing to be careful about with, especially the laser cartridges is you don’t want to tip them over one way or the other and, and make a mess. Ideally you can put them in a plastic bag. Tie the end of the plastic bag and go ahead and just put it in the recycling bin. What’s going to happen is the cartridge is going to go to the recycling center and one of two things will happen, they’ll send it threw this machine that’ll grind it up and sift the metal pieces out. So they’ll, they’ll melt it and the metal will separate. Or they’ll actually have people that will take them apart and send them threw the same process.
