How Do You Record VHS Tapes To A Computer?

0

With the advent of DVD players and now Bluray players, VCRs are becoming more and more obsolete. Needless to say, VHS tapes are becoming obsolete along with them. However, many still collect VHS tapes to preserve videos of movies or television shows that are not available in any other medium or because they may have old home videos packed with memories. Unfortunately, VHS tapes can become naturally worn or damaged simply through repeated use. It is a good idea to create a copy of tapes that are important to you by storing them as files on your computer. This can easily be done with the use of a capture card. Install a capture card to your computer using a PCI slot at the back of your modem or through a USB cord. Install any software that came with the capture card. Configure the capture card’s video settings to the highest quality of 720 x 480, which is standard Digital Video format, so that the analog picture can be sharper. VHS tapes will be recorded onto your computer in AVI format.
