While VCRs have been replaced by DVD players and DVR recorders, many people still use a VCR to record their favorite television programs. If you have recently purchased a Panasonic VCR recording video, using it can be done fairly quickly by just pressing a few buttons. Insert a blank video tape into your VCR. Insert the tape so that the open side is facing the VCR, with the spindles for the tape facing down. If you have trouble, many tapes have an arrow printed on them indicating how they should be inserted into a VCR. Locate the point on the tape where you would like your recording to start. You can rewind the tape by pressing the button on your VCR or remote with two arrows pointing left. You can fast forward a tape by pressing the button with two arrows pointing to the right.
