Want to record a demo or a song to put online and you don’t quite have the resources to invest in studio time or top of the line equipment. This article will tell you how you can record tracks, edit and then mix them to create your own music and songs. Download WavePad Audio Editor and MixPad Professional Mixing software from NCH Software (www.nch.com.au). Both applications can also be found on Download.com and install. Both downloads are less than 1 MB each so it only takes seconds. Set up your audio inputs to your PC (microphone, guitar, keyboard etc) to your line or microphone jacks on your sound card or if you have a USB connection to an available USB port. Open WavePad and click on the Click on the Record (red circle) button at the bottom left. This will bring up a box with Sample Rate information. If you are unsure of what sample rate to record with leave it at the default settings. Click OK. A Record Control dialog box will appear. Adjust the Recording Device settings (if needed
