Personally, I love white boards. They are unique, versatile and easy to use. But over time white board surfaces get grubby and are prone to “ghosting” (outlines of works and marker residue). Once your board reaches this point, cleaning isn’t as easy as wiping it down with a cloth or eraser anymore. The following is tips and suggestions for breathing new life into your dry erase or white board. Please remember before you begin that there are 2 main types of eraser boards: Melamine, and Porcelain. The primary difference is that one uses dry abrasion for erasure while the other requires a liquid such as alcohol. The following solutions are suggested for use with the type of board requiring a dry erase marker, not liquid. Address big issues first.
