These money scams happen all the time. It is difficult to determine the number of people and the amount of money lost to these scams because the majority of people do not report these incidences due to embarrassment and a lack of knowledge of which authorities to turn to. You try to sell an item on eBay or you are putting an apartment for rent. Any sort of money transaction when suddenly you receive an e-mail saying that this individual would like to buy, rent the item/place and that they are sending you a cashiers/personal/business check.
