How Do You Reattach The Blade On A Sears Electric Lawn Mower?

0

After sharpening or buying a new blade for your Sears electric lawn mower, you will need to reattach it. Reattaching the blade is fairly straightforward and can easily be done on your own lawn. Having a new blade installed on your Sears electric lawn mower at a mechanic will cost you much more than the few minutes and tools it will take to do it yourself. Put on your leather gloves. Find the proper sized socket to fit the bolt that holds the blade to the base of the Sears mower crankshaft under the deck. Squirt some oil in the bolt hole at the base of the crankshaft under the mower deck. This will allow the bolt to screw in with ease. Hold the washer from the blade against the base of the crankshaft. Hold the blade over the washer. Push the bolt through and screw in the blade’s bolt by hand until it is snug. Firmly grab the blade with one hand and put the socket wrench on the center bolt with the other. Turn the bolt clockwise until it is very hard to turn.
