Windows Security Center is a master console for all the security items on your computer. It became available to Windows XP users with the introduction of Windows XP Service Pack 2, which has since been replaced with Service Pack 3. With Security Center, you can monitor and change the processes that keep your system fortified, including firewall software, updates and antivirus programs. Download Windows XP 3, if your computer isn’t already equipped with this upgrade. XP Service Pack 3, also called “SP3,” is available through the Windows Update site (see Resources section below) and by performing an update with “Automatic Updates” on your computer.
