We all know how great it feels to find an amazing dining chair at a second hand store or flea market, but we may not always be as in love with the seat fabric. This is an easy-to-solve problem with a little time, TLC and fabric you can transform that not-so-great chair into your favorite piece in the house! Carefully remove the existing seat using a screwdriver or drill. The screws can be easily found directly under the seat of the chair. Remove the original fabric and foam. You may need pliers to remove the staples. Layer the batting over the top of the seat until it is thick enough for comfort; pull around to the bottom of the seat and staple into place. Cut off any excess batting. Next, lay the fabric over the seat. Remember to keep patterned fabric centered on the seat of the chair. Pull the fabric around to the bottom of the seat starting at the center of one side and staple into place. Repeat at the center of the opposite side. Pull the fabric taut but avoid stretching.
