James: David was one of our best directors of the season. The crew came up to me and said, “James you have to pressure the producers to give us David back”. Late in the season, when you’re tired and you get someone who doesn’t know us it can fry us. Fifty people came up to me in the crew and said, “You’ve got to make that happen”. We asked David and he was like, “Mmm, it’s hard work!” You’re carrying a show and then you direct, too. But I’m serious. [He was] a dream. Q: Have you got any tattoos?
