Fundraising is becoming more and more important to developing and sustaining private schools. A typical way private schools bring in more money is simply to raise tuition, though some schools have limits on how much you can raise tuition per year. More than anything, most schools don’t want to become so expensive that no one can afford them. Traditional fundraisers, such as going door to door selling wrapping paper or chocolates, can be useful, but there are far more effective methods. Organize special events, such as golf tournaments, cabarets, silent auctions, retreats and special dinners.
