Relay for Life is the signature fundraising event for the American Cancer Society. Because raising money is the most important reason for having a Relay team it’s important to implement good fundraising ideas so that you can raise the most money possible. ACS asks that each team raise a minimum of $100 per team member. Many teams will set goals much higher than this. Here are some suggestions to help your team be successful at fundraising. First rule of fundraising: Use the minimum amount of time to raise the maximum amount of money. Planning one large event may be much better than having multiple smaller activities such as bake or garage sales.
