How Do You Raise A Sunken Concrete Pad Without Slabjacking?

0

You can raise the level of your your sunken concrete slab with having to pay for slabjacking or mudjacking. If you are handy and want to save some money this may do it for you… Cut the wood boards to fit tight against the existing slab. Make sure they are level from side to side and have a slight tilt from back to front so water will run off. Brace the framing on the sides so that the form won’t come apart when you pour the concrete. Mix up a few bags of mortar mix and pour it into the form. Add a bag at a time until you have enough to fill the form to the top. Level off the concrete with a board dragged across the top. Hand trowel the concrete smooth. Come back when it starts to set up and trowell it again to get it smooth. Drag a broom over it to get a rougher non-slip finish. Remove the boards after 24 hours.
