Just like in your car, your mirrors make a world of difference when you’re riding a motorcycle. Some might view them as a simple accessory, but they’re essential tools when it comes to safe riding. With that in mind, you’ll want to adjust them so you can see comfortably from your preferred riding position. In most cases, this isn’t a difficult task. Sit on your motorcycle’s seat in your usual riding position. If the mirrors are not aimed to your liking, try carefully moving them around on their stems. Most mirrors will allow you to make minute adjustments with no tools at all. Depending on how high you want to move your mirror, this alone may be enough. If it isn’t, proceed to step 2. If your mirrors mount to your bodywork, look for the nuts that hold them in place on the body. Use a properly sized wrench or an adjustable wrench to undo your nuts.
