• Download the Dystopia demo server pack. (Links at the bottom) • Download the official hldsupdatetool for Half Life 2. The version at the time of this writing is v1.3. • Unpack this zip file into a directory of your liking. • Open up a DOS/Command Box in that directory and run the Update Tool as follows : hldsupdatetool.exe -command update -game hl2dm -dir • Open up the Dystopia Demo server filepack, which is a tarball (tar.gz) with e.g. WinRAR or WinZip. Extract the contents to the directory you choose in the step 4 so that the directory called ‘dystopia’ is inside this directory. E.g. c:\hlds\hl2m\dystopia; hlds\ being the directory where you unpacked the hldsUpdateTool and hl2m\ being the directory where you updated the hl2dm game.
