Rolling the rugs will keep the dirt and sand from falling onto the floor, thus saving you time and energy! Using your vacuum without beater brush, vacuum the entire floor, paying special attention to corners, dips in the floor and under furniture. A soft bristle broom will work if your vacuum doesn’t have a suction only option. Using a flat head mop or a Swiffer, wrap a dry soft terry towel around the head. Following the grain of the wood, gently run the mop or swiffer over the floor, working one section at a time until you have covered the entire floor. When the towel gets dirty, replace with a new one, throw the dirty one if the wash!
