Short term disabilities are certain events that could prevent you from working at your job or basically functioning for a shortened period of time. Typically, the exclusionary period will be about three days. So, you will not be able to obtain any sort of coverage during that time period of three days. And then after that you will obtain, basically, a weekly type benefit, typically under $300 a week for that disability.
