Other then being heavy sheetrock is easy to install. Do it right and save the taper extra work and expense. Choose where it is going and what it is for. Ceilings or firewalls require rated sheetrock. Generally 5/8 inch thick rock that is fire rated go in these areas. Bathrooms will have moisture resistant sheetrock in them. Start in a room with the ceiling. Mark and cut out all openings where there is a moisture barrier. On walls where there is no moisture barrier you can tack uo and rotozip around openings. Tack with 1 5/8s screws when using 5/8s rock. Rotozip openings if needed. Screw off completely. Screw each seam and 5 screws in the field along each ceiling joist. Make splices in alternate rows at least 4 feet apart. Sheetrocking the walls should be done with 1/2 inch rock unless it is a firewall. Put the top row on first. Cut to fit or splice on a stud. Lift to ceiling and screw with 1 1/4 inch drywall screws. Bottom row gets lifted or jacked up tight to existing row. Screw each
