How Do You Put Needlepoint Canvas On Stretcher Bars?
• Select stretcher bars near the same size as your canvas. • Assemble the stretcher bars and make sure it is square. • Lay the canvas on top of the frame. • Using thumbtacks or a staple gun, attach the four corners, doing diagonals first. • Always pull the canvas tight before placing each tack for better tension. • Attach the centers of opposite sides. Depending on the size of the canvas, add more tacks, always working on diagonals.
