i believe your friend has a hacked DS. basically he/she (let’s say it’s a he) has a mod chip cartridge thing…it looks like a regular DS game cartridge but the cartridge itself has a small slot of a microSD card(or whatever card it uses up to a certain amount of memory (2gbs, 4gbs, and so on) there are many of these things out there, such as Cyclo, M3 and R4….basically when you get it, lets say a R4, it’ll come with an adaptor, the cartridge, a cd and what not as a set. you’ll need certain file off that cd (i think) to put onto the microSD in order for it to work (this is after you have put the memory card inside the adaptor and you have connected the adpator to a usb port to access it). then you’ll make a folder with whatever name you want to hold your games. you will then need to download NDS roms, extract them (since they would usually be in a compressed file) and place them into that folder. you can have however many games the memory can hold that’s pretty much it. oh and FYI, i
