Installing anchor bolts in your foundation is one of the easier foundation building tasks. The anchor bolts serve as the securing rods that will help support the structure of your home, keeping it on your foundation. You will install the anchor bolts in your foundation right after you pour the concrete walls, while the concrete is still wet. Trowel the top of the wet concrete until it is relatively level. It doesn’t have to be perfect since it will be covered by a sill plate. Install the anchor bolts in the foundation by inserting them one by one into the wet concrete when it has set just enough to hold them uprights.
