How Do You Put A Cast Member On The Stage In Director?
Each individual item that you use in Macromedia Director is called a Cast Member (pictures, sounds, scripts, transitions and so on). Cast Members are stored in the Cast window. To use a Cast Member in a movie, you have to place it on the Stage. The Stage is the viewing area – the actual “stage” that your users will see when they play the movie. These instructions apply to Macromedia Director 5.0. Procedures for other versions may vary. Open or create a movie in Macromedia Director. Place a Cast Member in the Cast window. Move to the frame where you want it to be used. Select the Cast Member by clicking on its location in the Cast window, then drag that Cast Member to the Stage. Position your Cast Member on the Stage as desired. Open the Score window. Locate the frame where you want the Cast Member to appear. Locate the channel (the small, numbered squares that appear in each frame) where you want to place the sprite. Select the Cast Member by clicking on its location in the Cast window
