Clean your suede items with a brush. Make sure the brush doesn’t scratch and ruin the suede, but you don’t want any lint or dirt to interfere with the waterproofing spray. Buy a water protector spray. Many shoe retailers such as Foot Locker and department stores such as Target sell small or large cans of the spray. Make sure to choose a spray that works for all types of suede products so it can be used on shoes, coats and everything in between. Follow the directions on the spray. Make sure to use the spray in a well-ventilated area, and cover your workspace with newspaper. Add a second coat of the suede spray, if
