How do you properly make a citizens arrest and is it legal in all states?
To properly make a citizen’s arrest.You have to physicaly see the person or person’s doing the act that they are accused of.Since the police weren’t present to see the crime happen. They have no proof if a crime accured so they will ask you questions about the event that happened.If they see that there is just cause by what you have told them.They will ask you if you want to place the person or person’s under citizen’s arrest.If so,they will have you aproach the person or person’s and tell them that you are placing them under citizen’s arrest.You arrested them but the police will take it from there.When the court date comes around, be ready to tell the judge your side.
