To remover the spill over, simply unscrew the cover and place it and it’s screws into a zip lock bag. To unscrew the drain, you need to stick your screwdriver into the drain and twist using the screw driver to the left. This will loosen the drain and then you should be able to loosen it be hand the rest of the way. Now you have to remove the bath tub. If it is old, it is probably cast iron. Take your hammer and hit it hard directly in the center of the outer skirt. The tub should crack. Continue hammering pieces off and dispose of the pieces by hauling them away in 5 gallon buckets. Now pull any nails and remove any loose caulking. The framing should be exposed. Now inspect the plumbing. If there are any plumbing lines that are in poor order, call your local plumber to fix the pipes before proceeding. Now prep the drain
