Canna lilies are great flowers that prefer full sun but do well in partial shade as well. The beautiful, tropical-looking flowers come in (mostly) three different shades: red, yellow and orange. The leaves can also be a combination of green, purple or a mix of both. The flowers add great color to any garden, and flower from mid-summer until fall. Instead of purchasing the lilies at a nursery, try propagating the lilies. Not only will you grow beautiful flowers, but it’s rewarding to see the flowers bloom from a seedling.
