Family Radio Service (FRS) is a license-free set of frequencies made available by the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) for noncommercial use by friends and families. It’s short range, low power communication. Motorola is a leading manufacturer of FRS radios and brand them under the Motorola Talkabout label. Press the Menu button until the code starts to flash on the display panel. Press the plus or minus buttons to select an eliminator code. Press the PTT button to set the code. Eliminator codes minimize interference. Program a channel to be skipped when scanning. You can skip noisy channels as well as channels you just don’t want to listen to.
