Many public safety groups, including the police, use their own ranges of frequencies that are grouped together in “systems.” Conventional and other systems can be programmed into Uniden scanners. Programming a Uniden Police Scanner can be accomplished by following just a few steps. Enter the Uniden scanner’s Program System menu and choose “New System.” The scanner will ask you for the type of system. For example, choose “Conventional.” Confirm by tapping “Yes.” The scanner will create a default name for the system.
