How Do You Program A Keyless Entry For A 1995 Mazda MX-6?

Mazda made the MX-6 from 1987 to 1997. The instructions for programming the 1995 edition work for model years 1993 through 1997. The original keyless remote for the 1995 MX-6 had two buttons–“Lock” and “Unlock.” You can purchase a new three-button remote and it will work fine, except the third (trunk) button will not function. Take the key out of the ignition. Close the driver’s door. Open the door again. Insert the ignition key. Turn it to “On,” and then back to “Off.” Turn it on and off two more times. Take the key out of the ignition. Press in what is called the “pin switch” for the driver’s door (the switch that the door pushes in–when closed–to turn off the door-open light). Press this switch in three times, with two seconds between each push. The car should chime once to verify that you’ve done everything correctly so far. Press the “Lock” button on the remote two times. The car should then chime again to confirm. Repeat Step 5 with each remote. Do not let more than 15 seconds
