How Do You Program A 1997 Dodge Intrepid Keyless Remote?
In order to program a Dodge Intrepid keyless remote, you must have an existing, already-programmed remote. The programming instructions for the 1997 model are a little different from Intrepid models after 2000, which include one extra step. Turn the ignition key to “Run” (as far as it will go without turning the engine). Wait for the ignition chime to end. Press the “Unlock” button on the working (already programmed) remote for between four and 10 seconds. Press the “Panic” button for one second while still holding the “Unlock” button down. Release the buttons simultaneously. The car’s chime will confirm that you have successfully entered the programming mode. Complete Step 5 within 30 seconds of that chime. Press any button on the first remote you want to program. The chime will sound again, confirming that it has been programmed into the car’s computer. Repeat Step 5 with each remote.
