How Do You Print Pictures And Patterns On Sculpey?
I discovered this easy way to put a picture on Sculpey by accident. I was working on a project and set my Sculpey sculpture down on a piece of paper that had a design printed on it. When I picked the clay up the design was on the clay! We’ve experimented a bit and found the following works very well. You may find more ways to do this with other equipment. You can get some really nice effects without painting. We tried this with regular white Sculpey. For this example I suggest you make a flat object like a button or a pendant with regular white Sculpey. Flatten and smooth it but if you are going to put holes in the item, wait until after you’ve transferred the picture to the clay. In an art program – we used CorelDraw – manipulate the photo, picture, design or other artwork you want to transfer to the Sculpey until it’s the size of your object.
