How Do You Print On Shrink Plastic Using A Mac?
Shrink plastic or shrink art is a type of plastic used in craft projects. After an image is placed on the plastic, the plastic is heated in an oven at a low temperature. The heat causes the plastic to shrink and harden. Shrink plastic became well-known in the 1970s and 1980s with the popularity of Shrinky Dinks, a brand of pre-printed shrink plastic that users filled in with colored pencils. With an inkjet printer and a Mac computer, you can print on shrink plastic and create your own little works of art. Open your image file in Preview. Locate the image and hit “Control” while clicking on it. Select “Preview” from the “Open With” menu. Create a test image with regular paper before you print on the shrink plastic. Make any necessary edits to the image. Go to the File menu and select “Print.” Press the arrow next to the printer name to reveal the advanced printing options. Under “Preview,” choose whether you want the image centered and whether it should be printed at full scale or less.
