How do you prevent water from seeping in interior basement crack where cinder block joins with slab foundation

Lobo is right, stopping the water from the inside of the wall is really hard to do and almost always leads to other problems. Make sure the soil slopes away outside, use solid pipe to carry downspout water as far from the foundation as possible. If you’re on a hill and the problem is the uphill side you may have to go so far as to do a french drain on that side. If you excavate, don’t just settle for hydraulic cement in the crack (which you won’t find on the outside). Use a good waterproofing membrane. There are systems for collecting the water inside the basement where the wall meets the floor and carrying it to a drain. And there are those that would cut a hole in the floor, dig a sump, and install a pump. Neither of these will give you the sort of dryness you want if the basement is ever going to be more than a store room.
