Storm water pollution is a huge problem in areas where tributaries empty into creeks, rivers, lakes and the ocean. Keeping our water sources clean is an important part of protecting the environment, and you can do your part by just following a few simple rules of thumb. Before using any fertilizer, perform a soil test to make sure you really need it. Never apply fertilizers before a heavy rain. When possible, avoid using pesticides.
