Rosacea is a disease characterized by skin and eye inflammation. The most visible characteristics of rosacea are redness (the medical term is erythema) occurring on the cheeks, nose, chin, forehead, and eyes and eye lids. While there is relatively little knowledge in regards to causes of or cures for rosacea, there are steps that you can take to prevent rosacea outbreaks. Drink up! Water is known for improving the condition of your skin by flushing out toxins. While everyone should drink at least 64 ounces of water every day, rosacea sufferers should up that to 80 – 100 ounces each day. Ice water will help even more, since it cools the body and reduces flushing of the face. Relax. Stress is known to causing flushing, which may bring on a rosacea outbreak.
